The Master Certification in Band Master Training is a specialized 6-month professional program offered by the Military Music Training Center (MMTC). The course has been developed with the vision of promoting the proud tradition of Army Band music while contributing to India’s Skill India Mission.
This program is ideal for individuals who aspire to build a career as Band Masters, Music Teachers, Instructors, or Coaches in schools, institutions, and uniformed services. Under the mentorship of Ex-Army Officials and expert trainers, students receive advanced instruction in Army Band instruments, marching techniques, leadership, and teaching methods.
The curriculum also focuses on personality development, communication skills, and class management, ensuring each trainee is prepared for both Army recruitment opportunities and professional teaching careers. Through a combination of classroom learning, practical sessions, and a 2-month school internship, MMTC helps every learner grow into a confident and career-ready Band Master.
Learn the structure and functioning of Bagpipe Bands and Flute Bands.
Practical training on Bagpipe, Flute, Side Drum, Tenor Drum, Bass Drum, and Leader Stick.
Techniques for establishing and running school/institution marching bands.
Detailed training on proper use and presentation.
